When Should You Replace Your Tyres?

The legal minimum tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, around the entire circumference. However, tyre performance drops significantly below 3mm, particularly in wet conditions. We recommend replacing tyres when they reach 3mm for optimum safety. Driving on tyres below the legal limit can result in a fine of up to £2,500 and three penalty points per tyre.
